Latest Initiatives and Events at Sharanalayam
Temples are cultural beacons of our Sanatana Dharma. For eons they have been the source of inspiration and hope to countless believers. Every temple elicits devotion, reverence & bhakti. It kindles hopes in our hearts that help us navigate the harshest storms of our lives.
Today, many of these temples that were built by people from earlier generations for us and our children lie in a state of disrepair. Many do not have the funds to function on a daily basis. We have been so busy with all other aspects of our life that we have not properly focused our efforts in maintaining these temples (however small they may be).
It is our duty to ensure that these temples are maintained well and are functioning for our benefit as well as for the generations that will come after us.
GR Mama has kick started a new initiative 'Kovilgalai Kondaduvom' to ensure that such temples are given the support to start functioning daily. We request the public at large to participate in this initiative and receive the blessings of the divinities and Mahaperiyava.

Human effort along with the grace of the god there is nothing that we cannot conquer. By writing the 2 crore Rama Nama, let’s win the current Corona battle. Every Rama Nama we write goes to feet of MahaPeriyava that is going to be installed in the new Sharanalyam temple at Nanganallur. Vishnu Sahasranama is the essence of Mahabharata. These 1000 names of Sriman Narayana was Pitamaha Bheeshma's reply to the 6 questions posed by the Pandava King Yudishtra.
It is unique because Bhagwan Sri Krishna Himself was present when these names were recited.
Let’s chant this great shloka and spread the positive energy which will help us build our Sharanalyam. As MahaPeriyava says, the chanting of Vishnu Sahasranama will only bring victory.
