Guru Pooja: Prostrating Before that Lotus Feet.

The word “Guru” entails a Sanskrit etymology as it refers to an amalgamation of two words that hold profound meanings, namely ‘Gu’ connoting ‘Darkness’ and ‘Ru’ referring to the dispeller dispelling the darkness. One cannot rid the darkness by himself, as 
darkness isn’t an existence by itself. It is simply the absence of light.

So, how to dispel this darkness?

When a power so supreme wills to invade this darkness, becomes our docent and showers his invaluable grace is when we see the light in real. A ‘Guru’ thus, holds that torch helping us tread on the right path, making the unbelievable believable. The word symbolises divine presence and not a person, and to make use of this very energy and possibility, we need to become that opening. Grace does not descend, it’s all pervasive... We just need to make ourselves receptive to it. Humans are constantly grappled with struggles, misery, pain, fear, anger and problems. Often, seen muddled and turning helpless to resolve unfavourable circumstances.
